Quality, Affordable Housing

In this section we will be concentrating on 'Section 1' of the Planning Consultation Document, for the Arlen Hill Development Plan. 

We plan to secure 50% of all new homes as affordable homes. We will ensure the houses in Arlen Hill are of good quality and safety, there will be no difference in quality from private home to council housing. Please comment on this part of the proposal in this section.

1. Do you have any objections on building 15,000 new affordable, council homes in the development areas 'A' and 'B'?

2. If you live in current council housing, do you feel high housing standards are kept, any housing issues are addressed as quickly as possible?
3. We must build more housing for homes with children, many families currently have to travel more than 45 minutes to get to school in the morning. Do you agree that 10,000 of the houses proposed to be built should be fit for families?
4. Do you have any more comments on Section 1 of the Development Plan?

  1. Building 15,000 new council homes by 2050 by developing our own land.

  4. Ensure vulnerable residents are helped to find correct housing; and

  5. Enable residents to feel comfortable and responsible of their homes and local area.
