Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP)

Closes 31 Dec 2025

Opened 21 Apr 2024

Overview

LHS has developed a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2015 - 2020 in consultation with our consumers, staff and key stakeholders to provide strategies for local health services to support increased independence, opportunities and inclusion for people with disability. Now we ask for your feedback on the plan.

The plan will help ensure that people with disability:

  • Have the same opportunities as other people to access our services, and any events we organise
  • Have the same opportunities as other people to access our buildings and other facilities
  • Receive information from us in a format that will enable them to access it as readily as other people are able to access it
  • Receive the same level and quality of service from the our staff
  • Have the same opportunities as other people to make complaints
  • Have the same opportunities as other people to participate in any public consultation by LHS, and
  • Have the same access as other people to obtain and maintain employment within LHS.

Each of the seven LHS Regions has a Disability Access & Inclusion Committee who will oversee the implementation of the LHS DAIP in each LHS region. You are invited to have your say on the plan, give feedback and let us know what matters to you.
