Overview

The Department for Education is responsible for children’s services and education, including early years, schools, higher and further education policy, apprenticeships and wider skills in England. Using Citizen Space, the Department regularly conducts consultations on things like:

• Reforms to funding and accountability systems 
• Funding options aiming to increase the opportunities adults and young people have to access further education and higher education 
• Ideas to incentivise more flexible learning and working conditions; and
• Adding or modifying national standards for care, like childcare inspections.
